Dear National Psychology Leadership

SETTING A COLLABORATIVE AGENDA FOR ADVANCING PSYCHOLOGY IN OUR COUNTRIES, REGIONS AND CONTINENT

The PAPU Executive Committee (EC) is pleased that you will be participating in the forthcoming 2nd African Psychology Leadership Summit and the 3rd PAPU Council Session 23-24 March 2024 in Addis Ababa. 

As indicated in our previous communication, the agenda for this historic Summit will be informed by your involvement.  PAPU desires to future-proof psychology in Africa, and make it more meaningful to you, our National Members, and enable PAPU to have regional development programmes that meet continental and AU Agenda 2063 needs, and specifically to:
1. Help shape the 10th Anniversary PAPU Congress to be held in Johannesburg (together with the 30th Anniversary PsySSA Congress) from 8 to 11 October 2024;
2. Be a strategic planning session for psychology’s development across Africa; 
3. Consider the agenda of the next PAPU Assembly (to be convened during the above Congress), where elections for the next EC will be held; and
4. Address your association’s needs and what you wish PAPU to do to secure psychology as a science and practice in your country, regions and continent. 
We therefore invite you to kindly complete the attached questionnaire.  Your responses will not only help shape the Summit agenda, but will also assist in future continental collaboration to reshape psychology in our countries and across Africa.
